Weird Newscasters was a game played on both the British and American editions of Whose Line.
As the name suggests, the four performers were all in the roles of newscasters. One would be the normal anchor, while the co-anchor, sports presenter (or on one occassion on the British show, financial reporter) and weatherman all had particular quirks.
The British renditions of this game tended to focus more on the newsreading itself, while the American games had quirks which frequently obscured any attempts at newsreading. The American games also featured a reasonably standard lineup of Wayne Brady doing sports, Ryan Stiles as the weatherman, and Colin & the fourth improvisor as the anchors. Colin, Greg, and Brad were often the straight-man, but also served as co-anchor. Colin also developed the tradition - inherited from Greg - of beginning his newscasts with a pun in both his name ("I'm Lars ofthemohicans", "Gord Blessamerica") and in the top story.
In Later seasons Ryan and Wayne would switch roles.
