Whoopi Goldberg (born 13 November 1955 in Manhattan) is an award-winning and acclaimed stand-up comedian, actress, and singer. She is best known for appearing in movies such as Sister Act, The Lion King, Ghost, Eddie, The Color Purple, and Corina Corina. She is currently the lead commentator for The View, the position previously held by Barbara Walters. Whoopi was a one time taper for Whose Line, her session yielded two episodes.
